Getting started

Working with LevelUp Networks

Who do you work with?

UK small and medium-sized businesses and charities, usually teams without a full in-house IT department or those who want extra support alongside one.

Do you only support organisations in London?

No. Our office is in London, but we support organisations across the UK, with support delivered remotely.

How do we get started?

Get in touch by phone or email. We’ll learn how your organisation works, then send a clear written proposal so you know exactly what’s included.

How much does IT support cost?

We don’t publish prices because every organisation is different. Your proposal is shaped around your users, systems and the support you need, and you’ll see the full scope before you commit.

Can you take over from our current IT provider?

Yes. We plan the handover with you and your current provider, so nothing is lost and your team isn’t left without support.

What’s included in managed IT support?

A service desk, proactive monitoring and maintenance, Microsoft 365 and cloud support, cyber security and IT strategy, shaped around your organisation in your proposal.

Support

Getting help when you need it

What are your support hours?

Our helpdesk is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 18:00, excluding bank holidays.

How do we log a support request?

Call our helpdesk on 0203 695 7554. If an engineer needs to see your screen, they’ll guide you through starting a remote support session.

How quickly will you respond?

Response times depend on the priority of the issue. They’re explained on our How We Work page and confirmed in your proposal.

Is remote support secure?

Yes. A session only starts when you start it yourself while speaking to one of our engineers.

Do you support people working from home?

Yes. We support teams in the office, at home and on the move, with secure access to the systems they need.

Do you support Microsoft 365?

Yes. We set up, secure and support Microsoft 365, including email, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.

Security and cloud

Keeping your data safe

Can you help us get Cyber Essentials?

Yes. We help organisations prepare for Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus, fixing gaps before the assessment so you pass first time with confidence.

How do you keep our data secure?

With multi-factor authentication, endpoint protection, email security, regular patching and backups, plus access controls so people only see what they need.

Which cloud platform do you use?

We build hosted servers, desktops and backup on IONOS cloud, and we also support Microsoft 365.

Do you back up our data?

Yes. Backup and recovery is part of our cloud services, and we’ll recommend what to back up and how often in your proposal.

Do you train staff on cyber security?

Yes. Awareness training helps your team spot phishing, scams and other threats before they cause harm.

What should we do if we think we’ve been hacked?

Call our helpdesk straight away on 0203 695 7554. Don’t delete emails or files and don’t pay any ransom demand. We’ll help you contain the problem, recover and work out what needs to be reported.

Do you offer penetration testing?

Yes. UK Pen Testing is our penetration testing service, delivered with our partner Rootshell Security, a CREST and CHECK accredited provider. We test websites, cloud services, networks and staff awareness, then help you fix what we find. Find out more at ukpentesting.com.

How often should we have a penetration test?

At least once a year, and after any significant change, such as a new website, system or office network. Many clients, insurers and security frameworks expect an annual test.

AI

Using AI safely

Do we need Copilot licences to get started?

Not straight away. Microsoft 365 Copilot is licensed per user on top of an eligible Microsoft 365 plan, so we usually start with a small pilot group once permissions are in order, then help you decide who will benefit from a licence.

Our staff already use ChatGPT. Is that a problem?

Not necessarily, but you should know what is being shared. Free consumer AI tools can keep what people type, so client or company data may end up outside your control. We help you set an acceptable-use policy and move people onto approved tools.

What does it cost to start?

The first step is a free 30-minute AI chat. If it makes sense to go further, our AI Readiness Review is a fixed-scope piece of work, with the price agreed upfront in a written proposal.

Is our data safe with Copilot?

Copilot works within your existing Microsoft 365 permissions, so it can show people anything they already have access to, even if they shouldn’t. That’s why we review and tidy up permissions before it goes live.

Which AI tools do you work with?

We focus on Microsoft 365 Copilot because most of our clients already use Microsoft 365, but our advice is vendor-neutral and we’ll help you assess other tools your teams want to use.

Do we need an AI policy?

Yes, ideally before AI use grows. We help you write a clear acceptable-use policy covering which tools are approved, what data can be shared and who to ask for help.
