LevelUp Networks Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and supply chains. This statement sets out the steps we take to make sure that slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or in the businesses we work with.
LevelUp Networks is below the turnover threshold that makes a statement mandatory under section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. We publish this statement voluntarily because we believe our clients, staff and partners should be able to see how we approach this responsibility.
1. Our business
LevelUp Networks Ltd is a UK-based managed IT services provider, registered in England and Wales (company number 07066181) with its registered office in London. We provide managed IT services, cyber security, cloud, consultancy, business applications and related technology services to small and medium-sized organisations across the UK.
Our team is made up of skilled technical, commercial and administrative professionals. Some services are delivered by authorised personnel working remotely from outside the UK, under the same contractual, security and ethical standards as our UK team.
2. Our supply chain
Our supply chain mainly consists of:
- software, cloud and security vendors, such as Microsoft, Kaseya, Datto, IONOS and CyberSmart;
- IT hardware distributors and manufacturers;
- telecommunications and connectivity providers; and
- professional services, subcontractors and office service providers.
We recognise that the highest modern slavery risks in our sector sit within the manufacture of electronic hardware and its components. We therefore favour established, reputable distributors and manufacturers that publish their own modern slavery statements and responsible sourcing policies.
3. Our policies
Our commitment is supported by the following policies and practices:
- Recruitment and employment: we carry out right-to-work checks, provide written terms of employment, pay at least the National Living Wage and never require staff to pay recruitment fees or surrender identity documents.
- Code of conduct: we expect all staff and contractors to act ethically and with integrity in all business relationships.
- Whistleblowing: staff can raise concerns confidentially and without fear of reprisal.
- Anti-bribery and corruption: we do not tolerate bribery or improper payments of any kind.
- Supplier management: under our ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 27001 management systems, suppliers are assessed before onboarding and reviewed periodically.
4. Due diligence and risk assessment
To identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery, we:
- assess new suppliers as part of our supplier-management process, giving greater scrutiny to higher-risk categories such as hardware;
- expect key suppliers to comply with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and to hold equivalent standards in their own supply chains;
- include compliance with anti-slavery, anti-bribery and other applicable laws in our contractual terms; and
- reserve the right to end relationships with suppliers where we find evidence of slavery or human trafficking that is not addressed.
5. Training and awareness
We make sure that our staff understand the signs of modern slavery and human trafficking, and know how to raise a concern. Awareness is included in our staff induction and refreshed as part of our ongoing compliance training.
6. Measuring effectiveness
We review the effectiveness of these measures through our management review process, considering:
- the proportion of key suppliers that have been assessed;
- any concerns raised through our whistleblowing or complaints processes, and how they were handled; and
- completion of relevant staff training.
To date, we have not identified any instances of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chain.
7. Reporting a concern
If you have any concerns about modern slavery in connection with our business, please contact us in confidence at [email protected]. You can also contact the Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
8. Approval
This statement has been approved by the directors of LevelUp Networks Ltd and will be reviewed at least once a year.
